What is VRus Escape Reality
We are San Antonio’s first fully dedicated Virtual Reality Escape Rooms and Free Room Arena. Our experiences can accommodate up to 12 players in the same virtual game.
What are the hours of operation?
We are open 7 days a week.
Monday and Tuesday – Appointment only.
Wednesday to Friday – 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM Saturday: 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM
Sun: 11:00 AM – 09:00 PM
How to find us?
We are located in the shopping center at the corner of Huebner and Bandera next to Peter Piper Pizza. Our address is 6959 Bandera Road, San Antonio, TX 78238.
How is the parking?
While we do not have any dedicated parking, the parking lot is quite large, and there is always a space to park.
Do I need to sign a waiver?
All guests must fill out a waiver. Guests under the age of 17 years old must have a parent/guardian physically present in the store during the session to sign a minor waiver form.

What are the age limits and VR requirements?
13 years+ (with the exception of games marked as suitable for ages ten and up) and 48″ or taller to play.

What is the difference between VR Free Roam Arena and VR Escape Rooms?
VR Escape Room is the perfect choice for those seeking a mental workout and enjoy solving puzzles. This room-scale experience invites you to stand and engage. Additionally, we offer various walking VR Escape Rooms categorized under the VR Free Roam Arena list. The untethered VR Free Roam Arena solution enables you to freely walk within the game boundaries, boasting an expansive play area of up to 1200 sq ft!
Will I experience motion sickness?
Wearing a VR headset can occasionally lead to discomfort and sensations of motion sickness or vertigo. Typically, feelings of nausea when using a headset occur in seated or standing experiences where the in-game movement doesn’t align with your physical body’s motion. Motion sickness arises from the disconnect between your real and perceived motion.
While VRus Escape Reality cannot provide absolute assurance that you won’t experience motion sickness during your VR session, our technology has demonstrated minimal to no adverse effects in this regard,
Will I be paired with strangers during the VR experience?
All bookings at VRus Escape Reality are private. While there might be other guests at the venue, you will always play with people from your own group. Once the headsets are on, you will be fully immersed in a new world.
Booking & Pricing
Games / Experiences, Pricing, and Cancellations Policy
We currently have two main types of experiences: VR Escape Rooms and Free-Roaming VR Arena. Our current pricing is $30 per person (Wednesday and Thursday) and $35.00 (Friday through Sunday) per session, and gameplay is around 45 minutes. We offer Private Events. Don’t miss out! *Discounts must be redeemed during the purchase process; otherwise, they will not be applicable for redemption.
What is your policy regarding cancellations or rescheduling?
We do understand that sometimes customers will have to reschedule. You can purchase a cancellation and rescheduled protection plan in the event you need to have your booking protected. Our team can assist you with rescheduling to find a more suitable time slot if this situation does occur.
*Like a movie theater, we cannot accept any last-minute rescheduling or refund for cancellations once the booking is confirmed.
What kind of payments are taken for the games?
All major credit cards are accepted for payment. Please note that we are unable to accept cash.
Do I have to book in advance or can I walk in?
We are happy to accept any walk-ins; however, we cannot guarantee that there will be an opening at the time of the walk-in. We strongly suggest booking online, or we can book you at the time of your walk-in.
Do I have to choose the game in advance?
Not at all! Choose a game experience and we will help with the rest. When you arrive, if you are unsure of your game, our staff will gladly help you pick from our games the most suitable game for your group.
When should I arrive for my VR experience? What happens if I arrive late?
Please arrive 10 minutes before your game start time for game preparation and instruction. As a courtesy to all players, all games start exactly at their published time. If you arrive late, you can still play, but you may have time deducted from your adventure. There will be no refunds for late arrivals.
Safety Precautions & Others
What is your cleaning and sanitization procedure?
At VRus Escape Reality, we adhere to the most current guidelines for all VR equipment. Following each session, we meticulously clean the equipment to guarantee your safety.
What type of equipment is used?
For VR Free Roam Arena games, we use Meta Quest 2/Vive Focus 3, and for VR Escape Rooms Games, we use HTC Vive Pro 2
What type of clothing is recommended?
Dress fashionably for comfort. We recommend that you come in workout clothes if you are playing the VR Free Roam Arena games. If you have a hair bun or hairpiece, we may ask you to remove it so it will not interfere with the use of the headset.
Do you serve food and drinks?
We provide courtesy water to all of our guests.
Do you offer birthday party services?
Currently, we offer a 20% discount for groups of 8 or more when celebrating a birthday at our venue. You must call beforehand to receive the discount. Please note: we do not have a designated birthday room. Contact 210-465-7065 for more details.
